We are Protasis Corporation, a microchemistry company that designs microfabricated sensors and analyzers for point-of-use biopharmaceutical process monitoring. As a spinoff of Waters Corporation, market leader in HPLC, Protasis is developing the broadest, most comprehensive and seamless suite of on-line, at-line and in-line target molecule analysis (TMA) solutions available today. We build microanalytics to order at regional design centers close to you. With method optimization labs in Thornton, England, Marlboro, Massachusetts, and Ontario, California we can tune-up your chemistry. At the Cardiff Microsystem Center, we have access to micro-injection-molding, micro-laser-machining, micro-hot-embossing and other advanced techniques to make microfluidics circuits in polymers. Our access to both proven HPLC chemistries and state-of-the-art microfabrication allows us to repackage and integrate existing analytical methods into a wide variety of miniaturized probes, sensors, analyzers and other novel cartridge-reader packages for use in many settings in pharmaceutical companies. We are seeking quality/compliance executives within the pharmaceutical industry, who recognize the value in gaining early access to this emerging technology. Our new, In-Process™ Quality Assurance Program, offers you three steps to point-of-use, peak performance testing using a powerful combination of optimized chemistry, microfabricated instruments and process control. Protasis evaluation kits let you start today. The path to improved productivity begins with you and your company’s process: Step 1: Method Optimization: Encapsulate your lab-proven method into a validated plug- and-play cartridge you can use repeatedly with confidence.
Step 2: System Integration: Build a point-of-use package to integrate sample management, facility needs and process “aware” automation.
Step 3: Process Deployment: Deploy your customized, build-to-order solution at key measurement points throughout your process and then tie them together to boost productivity throughout your production process. Protasis works closely with customers to build custom solutions to their target molecule analysis problems. We can optimize chemistry, flowpaths and parameters for your process monitoring applications. Our specialty is finding trace molecules within thickets of complex mixtures. This often requires careful sample filtration, analyte re-concentration, high-resolution capillary separations and sensitive, full-spectrum detection. Your chromatographic or electrophoretic method will be optimized at three levels: by molecular class, by matrix interferences and by sample setting. Our devices are so small, we can embed an instrument package directly at, or even in, your process. Once developed, Protasis will deliver the same certified method when needed for the life of your application.
