Process Analytics                                                                                                      Back

Most production processes require incoming inspection of raw materials to assure quality.  A similar step occurs at the outlet where most product streams must be tested for quality assurance.  Most processes uses water and/or air as a carrier for mass or energy and must themselves be qualified at  the source and at each effluent point.  At the process center is a reactor or mixer where reagents are converted to the final product within a range of compositions and physical properties that must be monitored and, often, controlled.

On-Line Target Molecule Analysis with LC-MS

Protasis is leading the way toward putting liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry on-line for:

  • Active ingredients

  • Impurities

  • Reaction byproducts

  • Degradation products

  • Diastereomers or racemization

The FDA has sounded the alarm.  Pharmaceutical, beverage and drinking water companies must begin testing their production lots on-line and improve their quality assurance procedures each step of the way.

  Process Optimization

Protasis analyzers are 'aware' of their underlying procoess and can take control action when necessary.

Protasis will:

  1. Optimize liquid separations method in Protasis laboratories for target molecules, sample matrix and process setting.

  2. Encapsulate your worked-out method into a plug and play separations cartridge for repeatable, reliable monitoring.

  3. Integrate the analytics into your process system.
